How you can help

This March we were awarded an 'Awards for All' grant to purchase £4,600 of specialist toys for the Group! These  included some wonderful sensory equipment for a newly created 'quiet' area, which all the children really enjoy. Other toys are a toy castle, fire station, an amazing 'water cascade' toy for channelling water.....a new sandpit, wind chimes...and many more items of new equipment to enable us to provide even better facilitiesfor all our children.

Very many thanks to Amelia Bioletti for giving us lots of beautiful toys for our 'home' corner! They include a lovely pink dolls high chair and a basket crib! Thank you Amelia!

We are very aware of the  financial restraints on our supporters in these difficult times. We still need to research funding to continue offering our highly subsidised sessions to children who do not yet get the Early Years Education Grant. Our sessions cost parents just £4.00 as compared to other nurseries charging a minimum of £9.50. This has remained the same for over 5 years....

In June we were awarded a grant from the  Henry Smith Charity  for our Rent, for which we are SO grateful!  Thank you Henry Smith Charity for your continuing support!

Also in June we heard that a bid we put in to 'Reaching Communities' (Lottery) for a Playworkers salary for 5 years  was not successful despite putting in a really good application, helped hugely by Lewes 3VA. It was a great disappointment after so much work. However, we are applying again to 'Children in Need' for 3 years playworkers salary aided by 3VA again. We have just had our last Grant payment from them....We are always hopeful they will continue supporting us.

We are very grateful to Lewes Town Council who have given us a Grant of £2,000 to go towards the salary of a playworker working with children with additional needs.

One of our families recently took part in a 'Toddler Mile' and raised over £200! The picture shows Michaela with her father Frank presenting the sponsorship money to Pippa, with Lilli-Mae, Ruby and Scarlet. Grandad Frank even persuaded his friends at home in Cornwall to sponsor him for his grandchildrens' nursery!
